Nuwara Eliya is the place where my heart belongs. No matter where you travel in Sri Lanka, you will not feel the same way way as you do in Nuwara Eliya. Words cannot describe the feeling of relief when that cool breeze hits  your face. Nuwara Eliya is like a Little England nestled amidst  in mist-shrouded mountain ranges, vibrant tea plantations and beautiful flower gardens.

 

The freedom I feel while walking along the banks of  Lake Gregory and the fragrance of the beautiful flowers in the

 Hakgala Botanical Garden instantly relieve the pressure from anyone's mind.        

Also, the tranquility of places like Seetha Eliya and Victoria Park is truly a great comfort.

Nuwara Eliya is not just a place to go for a picnic, it is a wonderful opportunity to take a break from our busy lives and reconnect with nature. It is the place where I most love to go and where my mind finds the greatest peace. Every misty morning feels like a fresh start. The mountains whisper stories of eternal calm. It is truly a sanctuary for the soul.
