     From Tradition to the Global Stage : My University Journey 🤍🌍    

The most significant important milestone in my journey as a traditional dancer is my university education. The academic knowledge and practical experience I’ve gained here provide me with the foundation to showcase the true depth of our local dance to the international community.


At the university, I’ve gained the discipline and intellectual guidance to adapt our traditional foot rhythms and present them creatively for the modern world, while preserving their original purity. I believe that international success isn't just about performing on a world-class stage it’s about articulating the culture value behind our art.

This academic path has taught me that a dancer is not just a performer, but a custodian  and a protector of our history. By studying the roots of our movements, I can now represent Sri Lanka with a deeper sense of pride and professional confidence.

I want to prove that our ancient traditions are not artifacts of the past, but are vibrant enough to inspire the entire world today. Every step I take on a global stage is a tribute to the teachers who kept this art alive and the modern education that refined my vision.

My ultimate goal is to blend the strength. I gained from the university with our country’s rich heritage to put the Sri Lankan dance identity firmly on the world map.

    My Reflection on Social Service 💫 I am involved in social work because helping humanity gives me a sense of happiness and freedom. It is truly rewarding to see how our actions can positively impact someone else's life. I have learned a lot through the social service programs I recently joined. It is a great privilege to be able to provide small amount of comfort to people living through life's difficulties.        Every act of kindness, no matter how small, creates a ripple effect that can change a person's entire perspective on the world. This world would be a much more beautiful place if we didn't think only about our own affairs, but offered a little help to someone else.
